Halter

White Downtown Girl

I want to share our good news - I received today confirmation from AQHA that our cremello filly White Downtown Girl is indeed the first cremello in AQHA history to earn both Open and Amateur Halter Register Of Merit awards. As true Amateurs, doing everything ourselves, we are so thrilled. Let me say again to anyone thinking about showing their double dilutes - the great majority of judges we showed to were very professional and honest - color did not matter - just the horse itself. Give it a go !!

Owned by: Susan Mangus

Platinum San Badger

2002 AQHA Perlino Mare solely trained and shown by a child! Yet another horse with a good mind! Her sister is Blue Rane San Badger listed above. Halie was 10yrs old when she started working with this filly and in the short time they worked together, they earned a few titles including Grand Champion Yearling, Grand Champion Mare, Reserve Grand champion Youth and several In Hand Trail ribbons including a few firsts in local Halter. We lost her in her yearling year to WNV.

This site is not intended to give the visitor a complete education in the science of equine genetics, but merely to explain the cream gene in layman's terms, and thus help dispel some of the myths associated with it. If you have questions about these horses and their coloration, please visit the Cream Gene Facts page, or our Color Discussion Board.

The American Quarter Horse Association had a rule on its books, 227i (formerly known as 227j), that disallowed registration of purebred Quarter Horses with two cream genes. The organization that has gotten the AQHA Rule 227i eliminated has an email list you may join:
